This project is titled Lines of Time. It is a collection of images comparing old and abandoned structures to the aging human form. They highlight the similarities between the historical buildings of our country and the individuals who used to work and live in them.
This project has grown out of a conviction that society as a whole does not show either of these entities the gratitude and respect due them. Our country was built by great men and women who worked in mills and factories, as well as lived in homes and attended schools and churches. Many buildings, as well as our elderly, have been left to fend for themselves against the passage of time. I have spent time focusing on the seniors in our communities and the buildings which share their place in history. In this project, we see how they have grown to physically resemble each other as time has passed.
